sun and trees

I don’t want to jinx anything but I think that we have finally escaped the clutches of winter. I didn’t expect it to linger for as long as it did. This past winter was so difficult. Congratulations to us all for doing the best we could. It was relentless and demoralizing and really took its toll. I am very open about the fact that I have become increasingly more unhinged after going through last season. It’s amazing what a few days of sunshine have done to make me feel more like a human. I am committed to trying to get outside into fresh air as much as possible to help improve various aspects of my health. It doesn’t have to be for long, and I don’t even need to leave my driveway, but I need to get outside. It’s made easier with the fact that our kids love being outside so I use them as an excuse to drag me out too. If you’re looking for company, check in with some neighbours and see if anyone is interested in walking with you or just sitting down for a chat. I think we could use a little comfort and support from others after this traumatic record-breaking winter.

Stay sane and healthy!
