Business Showcase Coming to Orillia Rec Centre this October
This October, the Orillia & District Chamber of Commerce (ODCC) is bringing a one-of- a-kind event to the city. Elevate Orillia is a new initiative designed to bring together area businesses and members of the community to make new connections and celebrate local. This event is presented by Orillia Home Hardware Building Centre and supported by local business sponsors and members of the ODCC.
The event not only provides local residents with a chance to learn about the exceptional products and services available in the community, but also gives them a chance to meet the people behind the businesses, interact with them, and ask questions. It is also a valuable opportunity for businesses to forge new connections and explore synergies. Attendees can expect not only a wide-ranging showcase of local business, but also speakers and entertainment throughout the day, fun prizes and giveaways, and unique food and drink options. Some exhibitors will be offering special promotions or items for sale. Participating businesses include everything from plumbers to professional printers to home care providers, so there is guaranteed to be something to pique everyone’s interest.
October 24 is a PA day for most students in the region, and Elevate Orillia is an event the whole family can attend. With late October weather being notoriously unpredictable, it’s an indoor, no-cost opportunity for parents to get little ones out of the house while teaching them early on the importance of supporting local.
High school students are invited to volunteer at the event and earn community service hours while getting a head start on developing contacts in the business community. Volunteers are needed for setup the evening before the event, ambassadors the day of, and teardown/ cleanup. Those interested can contact the ODCC office at info@orillia.com.
Exhibitors
Space is still available for exhibitors interested in being a part of this exciting event. Local businesses can book a space to set up a booth to showcase their products and services, and exhibitors are permitted to sell items at the event.
