Orillia Museum of Art & History and the Leacock Museum Present “If You Could Read My Mind…” Poetry & Music Lawn Night

The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) and the Leacock Museum are pleased to present “If You Could Read My Mind…” Poetry & Music Lawn Night, a collaborative outdoor cultural event celebrating local talent, storytelling, music, and community connection.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm on the grounds of the Leacock Museum, 50 Museum Drive, Orillia. In the event of rain, programming will move indoors to OMAH.

Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of poetry and music in a relaxed outdoor setting inspired by the cultural and literary legacies that continue to shape the region.

Tickets are available through OMAH:

  • OMAH Member Price: $15 +HST
  • Non-Member Price: $18 + HST

The event reflects the growing partnership between the two organizations. In 2025, the Leacock Museum and OMAH entered into a programming partnership to collaboratively deliver an annual joint cultural program designed to strengthen community engagement and create new opportunities for shared audiences and experiences.

“The intent of this collaboration is to create a community-focused cultural event that supports local talent, encourages cross-institutional collaboration, and expands audience engagement for both organizations,” said representatives from OMAH and the Leacock Museum.

By bringing together literature, music, performance, and public gathering space, the organizations hope to foster meaningful cultural experiences that celebrate creativity and strengthen connections within the community.
