Orillia, ON — The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) and The Orillia Silver Band are proud to present Brass Roots: Music, Memory & Community, a special evening of live music and storytelling that explores the powerful role community-based music plays in preserving our shared histories.
Join us on Thursday, July 17, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Paul’s Centre, for a soul-stirring experience that blends a dynamic musical suite performed by the Orillia Silver Band with a thoughtful presentation from OMAH on the importance of community music through time. This collaborative event is hosted by Lakehead University’s Office of Community Engagement & Lifelong Learning.
“Brass Roots beautifully reflects what OMAH stands for — the intersection of art, history, and community. We’re proud to collaborate with the Orillia Silver Band and Lakehead University to honour the legacy of community music in Orillia. Events like this remind us that local stories and shared traditions are what truly connect us.”
